Terms of Service

Ruby Car Imports acts as your import agent. We bid at Japanese auction, arrange inspection, shipping, clearing at Mombasa and delivery in Kenya. Listings on this site are auction stock, not cars we already own on a yard.

A quote on the website or in chat is an estimate until you sign a sales contract for a specific unit.

You must be 18 or over to send an enquiry or instruct us to bid. Do not scrape, overload, or try to break the site. Prices, grades and availability change with the auction; refresh before you commit.

Import duty is assessed by KRA, not by us. We quote a likely figure; the amount you pay at the port is KRA’s. Vehicles older than eight years from first registration generally cannot be registered in Kenya. We check age before bidding; if a unit is ineligible we will not buy it for you.

The deposit, staged CIF payments, duty and local charges follow the schedule on How to buy and on your invoice. The deposit is refundable if we do not win a car for you. Once a car is bought at auction, later instalments are due as set out in the contract.

Currency conversion (KES / USD / JPY) uses the rate printed on your invoice for that payment.

Auction results we did not win, delays by shipping lines, port congestion, KRA assessments, banks releasing finance, or defects disclosed on the auction sheet you approved. We are not a motor dealer of last-mile warranty unless a contract says otherwise.

These terms are governed by the laws of Kenya. Disputes are handled in the courts of Kenya.
